Product Description

Monarda, or Bee Balm, is the poster child for native plants and the positive effect of planting them on the environment. The beneficial pollinators we rely on, bees butterflies, hummingbirds and more, love these deep red blooms. The leaves carry a fresh, herbal fragrance. Red Monarda is very adaptable and easy to grow. It's the pop of color for a cottage garden or perennial bed, especially in full sun. You can plant it in sun to part shade, but you may have to prune it more often to maintain its shape. Shade can make this plant a little leggy. Deer tend not to eat Bee Balm. Monarda didyma 'Jacob Cline'
