    Product Description

Dark purple ground cover provides good contrast to plants with green foliage in the garden and container plantings. Its thickly textured, glossy leaves have scalloped edges and are evergreen in warmer zones. In the springtime, deep purple flowers open above the foliage, creating a sea of blue when planted en masse. This variety spreads more slowly and is more compact than other ajuga. It's a good choice for rock gardens, edging a path or around trees. While butterflies and pollinators love it, deer tend to avoid. For the best foliage color, plant in full sun and in cooler temperatures. Ajuga 'Black Scallop' PP15815
