Add a sweet, citrus fragrance to your garden with this compact shrub! Its fragrant, double, white flowers on gracefully arching stems add elegance to the mid to late spring landscape. With its compact habit, it's a good choice for smaller gardens, in mass plantings or as part of a hedge. Grows 3-5' tall. Does best in full sun to partial shade. Ships in a 4" pot. Zones 4-8. Philadelphus virginalis 'Snowbelle'
I bought this last year and was really disappointed because there were no blooms. This year this shrub is beautiful and and flowers all over. I can't wait for it to grow to full height!

It blooms during July fourth, and the scent floats across the yard and just makes everything smell so lovely!

I planted this in the spring of 2013 and it is now about 4' tall and wide. It has beautiful arching branches that were absolutely covered with pure white, heavenly scented blooms this spring. To be honest, after the initial season of regular waterings to get it established, I've all but neglected this shrub and it's done beautifully. I'll probably prune it back this year to keep its size and shape in check. I'd say this is an excellent choice for anyone who loves mockorange but doesn't have room for a full-sized cultivar in their landscape.
