Product Description

This new introduction takes moss phlox breeding in a completely new direction. A cross between Phlox subulata and Phlox kelseyi, it is named for the unique coloration  of the ¾" flowers—that open pale pink, nearly white, but age to clear, deep pink, giving the plant mass a two-toned look. Dr. Jim Ault at the Chicago Botanic Garden developed this variety, along with others in a new series, to exhibit exciting color, vigor and durability that is superior to other moss phlox. These new phlox are real problem solvers as well. Plant them where they can fill gaps at the front of the border, spill over rocks and walls or provide masses of color along a stone path. The dense foliage spreads to form 2-3' dark green mats that are attractive, even when the flowers fade, providing an excellent sun-loving ground cover. With the exciting new colors and bloom power, these super-hardy garden workhorses could just make you love phlox again. We certainly do. Phlox x 'Strawberries and Cream' PPAF
