    Product Description

Give your neighbors something to admire with the addition of Sum and Substance Hosta to your shade garden display. You'll be in awe of how large the rippled, broad-leaf foliage gets at maturity. Like most hosta varieties, this big guy grows only to a moderate height… but it spreads to a whopping 5-6' across! In mid to late summer, willowy 4' scapes bear bell-shaped flowers in varying shades of purple. Sum and Substance really brightens up those shadowed spaces in the garden, as well as sun-dappled borders, rock gardens and wooded sites. Brings butterflies and pollinators to the landscape by the hundreds. Exhibits good slug resistance, too. Hosta 'Sum and Substance'
