    Product Description

The Vagabond is a compact vine, and it's very floriferous. For a plant this compact to have this many blooms, you really can't get a better flower cover than that. It's so romantic in hanging baskets and window boxes, the overflowing blooms tumbling over the edges. The flower color is something to get excited about too—a color as rich as the purple on these sepals is rare. Plus, the color is made even more exciting as the contrast between the dark sepals and luminous centers make these blooms really pop out in the landscape. The Vagabond is also lovely creeping along a border or winding its way through a perennial shrub. Not only is it a strong performer the first time around, it's a good "come again" plant, so you can cut it back after flowering and it'll grow back for another little show. The Vagabond is not your run-of-the-mill clematis, it's quite hard to find. We're proud to add it to our offering, and if you give it a try, you'll be proud to have it too. Clematis 'The Vagabond'

The Vagabond Clematis is in the GREEN pruning category. It blooms on old and new wood, so prune as often or as fully as you like to promote reblooming. See our Stoplight Pruning Guide for more information.
