Product Description
Holding true to its name, Itoh Peony 'Unique' is truly something special. Single peony flowers in deep poppy-red, contrasting with honey-yellow centers, burst into bloom in midsummer, standing tall on sturdy stems. Unique holds up as a strikingly dramatic peony, without the need for much fuss or staking. A lovely double flower form, and bright and bold red color make it stand out in the bed, border, or bouquet. Deer resistant and attracts butterflies. Itoh, or intersectional, peonies are a cross between tree varieties and herbaceous peonies. The result? - Planting Instructions: Dig a hole large enough to spread out roots without bending them. Set crown with buds 1-2" below ground-level. Water in thoroughly. Plant at least 6 weeks before ground freezes.
