Vivid Bright Light Dianthus

This dianthus is proof that tidy doesn't mean boring. The foliage forms into a perfect little easy-to-grow mound. A compact, contained dome of vivid green without any pruning necessary. Perfect for filling out a container with no bare spots. And, starting in spring and lasting into fall, it is covered in fragrant flowers. If you plant Vivid Bright Light Dianthus in a mass planting all along a slope, the flowers will form a strong, uninterrupted swath of intensely saturated color for months on end. Plenty to cut a few for a fresh bouquet. Or you could repeat it through a border to punctuate the display. It'll draw in butterflies, but deer rarely bother it—thanks to the spicy-sweet scent.
