Early flowering. Reblooms late summer. (Mid spring, reblooms in late summer)
Mulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.
Perfectly formed miniature Iris flower, about half the size of the tall bearded iris.
1" wide, sword-like, grey green colored
Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
Well drained preferred. Quite tolerant of a wide range of soils.
Average water needs. Water regularly, do not overwater
