The Black Tulip Magnolia Tree is a daring and dramatic species, sure to become a landmark tree in your landscape. Fragrant, dark purple flowers bloom to six inches across in a cupped tulip shape. Growing to a mature height of fifteen to twenty feet, this tulip magnolia is an excellent small garden tree. Use it as an anchor and delight in its springtime display and light-green green summer foliage, or plant en masse to create a unique and elegant hedgerow. If temperatures remain cool and moisture is adequate, you may see a second flush of blooms in midsummer. Even in winter, the shapely branches of this tree are sure to add allure.
